Privacy Policy

Effective May 10, 2026  ·  RAVEN for macOS
Zero data collection

Overview

About this policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Rogue Protocols ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the RAVEN macOS application ("the App").

Everything you create in RAVEN — assessments, threat models, findings, notes — stays on your Mac. It never leaves your device.

Data & Storage

No data collection

RAVEN does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data or usage data. The App operates entirely on your device. We have no servers, no analytics pipelines, and no telemetry.

Where your data is stored
Assessments, notes & tag library ~/Library/Application Support/RAVEN/
UI preferences & onboarding state macOS UserDefaults (local container)

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the App's built-in export feature (JSON package or PDF report), in which case you choose where the file is saved.

Network & Tracking

No network access

RAVEN makes no outbound network connections of any kind. The App does not contact any external server, API, or analytics endpoint. It requires no internet connection to function.

No tracking
  • No advertising identifiers are used
  • No crash reporting SDKs are embedded
  • No analytics or behavioural tracking
  • No third-party SDKs of any kind are included

Security & Legal

App sandbox

RAVEN runs inside the macOS App Sandbox and Hardened Runtime. It requests no entitlements beyond what is strictly necessary to read and write your local data files and to display file-picker dialogs when you explicitly export or import data.

Children's privacy

RAVEN is a professional security tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from any user.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy in a material way, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the App's release notes.
